Sovos TrustWeaver successfully concludes eIDAS reassessment of its signature validation services
Sovos TrustWeaver has successfully concluded the biennial audit of its qualified electronic signature and seal validation services under the EU regulatory framework known as eIDAS.
Rigorous assessment, every 24 months, is an important component of eIDAS and helps ensure that Qualified Trust Service Providers, such as Sovos TrustWeaver, maintain the highest standards of quality and security in line with its strict legal requirements and the associated standards.
When eIDAS entered into force in July 2016, TrustWeaver became the first company in Sweden to be granted the status of Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP).
“Trust is fundamental to electronic transactions and as a Qualified Trust Service Provider, Sovos TrustWeaver are well positioned to seamlessly provide our customers with the highest standards of compliance services, that ensure and guarantee legal certainty in the ever-evolving regulatory landscape,” Stina Treven CEO of Sovos TrustWeaver commented.
“This successful reassessment recognizes the dedication, hard work and innovative approach of the Sovos TrustWeaver team and highlights the intense focus we put on ensuring our partners and clients remain compliant, wherever they do business.”
As a QTSP Sovos TrustWeaver fulfills the strict requirements for the remote creation of qualified electronic signatures and seals to ensure the validity and authenticity of e-documents. For the reassessment, an independent third party, Datenschutz cert GmbH, concluded that the Sovos TrustWeaver electronic signature and seal validation services, meets the eIDAS requirements and a recommendation has been made to the Supervisory Body of Sweden to uphold its status as a qualified provider.
